What Causes Numbness In The Side Of Head Post Injury?

two days ago I injured my neck. I heard a loud pop and ever since the entire left side of my head is numb. Like when you go to the dentist and get a shot. When I turn my head a certain way I get a shot of pain up my neck, behind my ear up through my scalp. Almost like being shocked.
