What Causes Numbness In Upper Thigh With The History Of Hematoma?

I had a very large hematoma on my upper thigh almost ten years ago that took several weeks to slowing drain down my leg and go away. Now ten years later that same area is numb and has been for almost a year... my doctor says it has nothing to do with the hematoma?
