I have been reading up on "sticky-oily"hair symptoms that many women seem to have and no one is stepping up to explain this strange phenomenon. I have straight, fine, highlighted blond hair. My hair was always concidered normal with occasionnal dry ends, nothing a monthly haircut could not fix....I have read several blogs describing the same problem that I have developped 1 year ago and that I cannot get rid of....After washing and blow drying my hair, I cannot seem to get rid of this oily matted feeling my hair gets. The top part of the roots stick to my head and the rest of the hair feels gummy. When I comb it with a fine toothed comb, the hair strands litterally stick together....I have tried all types of shampoos. I usually finish with a light rinse out conditionner that I apply to the ends only. I even had hair treatments done professionnally trying to remove these hair symptoms. While they seem to work temporarily, say 2 days, they did not last. I do not use styling products (gels, mouses), I even get my hair highlighted professionnally. I am 43 years old. If you are going to allocate this to pre-menopause, please tell me what my body is defficient in so that I can take the proper action to help this strange condition.
