What Causes Open Pores On Forehead On Usage Of Hair Removal Cream?

I used a hair removal cream on my forehead. I removed it with water and then soap. It still burned so I just continued with water and wiped my forehead. Then I looked in the mirror and saw that my forehead looked like it had giant open pores. I m assuming that the cream burned my skin. Will my skin heal properly again? I put neosprine on it and it feels better but I m not sure if it will completely heal my forhead back to the way it was. It s not severe...just looks like giant open pores.
