What Causes Orange Coloured Finger Tips And Toes With Stomach Pain?

My friend just called and said that for the past two weeks the palm of her hands, finger tips and her toes are turning orange and she has been having very sharp pain in her stomach and back when she lay down. What is this and does she need to seek emergency treatment right away?
