What Causes Orange Vaginal Discharge?

Hi I have been noticing some orange reddish discharge for the past week but my period is also about a week and a half late. What does this mean? Is this a sign of early pregnancy? I took two pregnancy tests which both were negative so I really am a bit puzzled.
