What Causes Pain And Burning While Urinating After Sex?

Hello, I am a 21 year old female and a week after having sexual intercourse with my partner I began having pain when I urinate and sometimes burning. Even when I wipe its very painful. I went to the doctor and they said I have UTI and cervicitis. I have been taking the medication the doctor prescribed me for some days now and I am still having the same pain when I urinate and even when I wipe. Also, I have been using vaseline to help ease the pain a little but that works just a little not as much. Is there any ointments or creams I can use to help reduce and get rid of this pain because it seems like the medication is not working?
