What Causes Pain And Inflammation Outside Labia Majora

just only today, i've found out that my upper outside labia majora is inflamed, painful, not itchy. about an 0.5mm,it is alarming and i dont want it to become infected. what kind of topical ointment should i used to subside the swelling. my mum brought me fucidin ointment..is it ok if i used it? thanks
