What Causes Pain And Prickly Feeling In Clitoris Of A 6 Year Old Child?

My six year old daughter has woken with quite painful prickly feeling in her clitoris. We have bathed her in water but this is second night. She's ok in the daytime and not sure how to help her. Can you help please. Is canestan worth trying? Thank you.
