What Causes Pain And Stiffness In Feet?

The 4th toe on my right foot has been hurting for awhile. Both feet are stiff and ache when I wake up, but they loosen up after walking for a few minutes. However, I frequently have either a shooting pain or medium ache in the toe I listed. Any thoughts? Can't find anything in the symptom list that relates to this.
