What Causes Pain And Swelling In Middle Finger?

I have been having major pain in my left middle finger (pain in all my fingers as well but not as bad as the middle one). The finger is slightly swollen in the middle joint and my finger appears to be bending to the left now. Anti-inflammatorys aren t helping. I had my gallbladder out two weeks ago and they gave me Tramadol and that totally took the pain away but obviously I don t want to take those long-term.
