What Causes Pain And Swelling In Vagina During Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 38 and 30 weeks pregnant. My left labia feels slightly achy and swollen. I looked a few hours ago and i seem to have a purplish looking bruise there. What is this? I'm not sure if this is a varicose vein as it looks like a dark patch rather than a defined vein.
