What Causes Pain Around Naval?

i am having stomach ache on the right side of the navel. I had loose stools till the day before yesterday. I passed normal stools today and yesterday. The stomach ache started with low intensity yesterday. There was pain only while breathing and coughing yesterday. It intensified in the evening. At night, while sleeping i applied hot douche bag and that relieved the pain and i was able to sleep satisfactorily. In the morning today i had normal stools and the pain, i think, has reduced a bit. Please advise - Vijay
