What Causes Pain Around The Mouth Of The Womb?

Hi Doctor, am having a pain around the mouth of the womb, it's so painful,went to the doctor and he gave me medication but insisted on pap-smear after medication course. He is not sure what could have caused an infection till he has conducted some scan & pap-smear. What would be your opinion of my case?
