What Causes Pain During Breathing After Injury To Abdomen?

My girlfriend fell in the tub on pure left abdominal quadrant, crossing bottom ribs and sternum. Painful breathing and laughing but no broken bones. Pain has moved to middle of back left part but no sign of bruising or internal bleeding. If there is no internal bleeding is spleen still ok?
