My 30 year old daughter is experiencing pain in her abdomen, irregular menstrual cycles, fibroids in her uterus and other areas of the body, swelling of the leg (after a day of sitting at the computer) and constant constipation which has been a life long problem. Our family has a history of thyroid issues on both sides of the family that were very serious issues. She has seen doctors at Cedars in Los Angeles, including a Gyneocologist, endocrinologist, and Internist specializing in G.I. matters. She's been told she has IBF, Endometritis, and some say it is all in her head. (I am sure I am forgetting some symptoms) She is going to have a colonoscopy next week. She has been on medicine designed to get the body to get more water into the small intestine to no avail. She is slim and eats healthy and some doctors seem to see that and feel she is fine. Any ideas on where for her to go from here?
