What Causes Pain In Abdomen, Ribs And Chest?

My daughter has been feeling like she has stomach aches for the past week. She thinks it's her ribs that is making her feel like this because it's only when she lies down on her side. Her ribs and chest hurts a little also. I made her an appointment today at her family doctors but I want to anything that he/she can test for?
