Hi I have an under active thyroid, diagnosed about 2 years ago. I m on Levothyroxine 125mg per day. I have had significant weight gain running up to diagnosis, about 3 stone. I had a minerva coil removed in Aug 14 after 5 years. But my period has been regular since removal. About 6 weeks ago the muscle on the front of my left calf became quite painful, most noticeable when trying to sleep, about 3 weeks ago I noticed a numbness in the skin on my left foot that has slowly spread up my leg to the knee. I noticed 4 days ago that when lying down I couldn t pull the toes on my left foot back. When to my GP who immediately sent me to A&E for a scan, after 5 hrs I had a CT scan which showed nothing but told I would need to return for an MRI scan which I m waiting for. I came home from hospital and the following morning started a heavy period, having only just finished one the week before. I have been told my leg symptoms are either a trapped nerve or possibly MS but neither of those would cause the bleeding. Am I concerned over nothing or should I be mentioning this to the Doctors?
