What Causes Pain In Calves And Upper Arms?

I have pain in my calves and upper arms when touched especially if somebody pokes me be it lightly or more aggressively. I have a niece with the same issue. The worst part is that nobody believes that it really hurts when barely touched. Any idea what this is or could be?
