Doctor, I just recently recovered from the flu, which I had for three days and treated with sleep and drinking lots of water. Now all I have is a stuffy nose and a mild effective cough. But my problem is that when I cough I feel a pain in my chest which I believe is my lower trachea/upper bronchiols. The pain lasts for a while and only goes away if I rest for a while without coughing. If I take a deep breath it hurts more, so I usually breath low in my abdomen. Is there something I can do for this, or should I just wait for it to go away? I am 27 years old, male, 6ft. tall and about 170 lbs, with very little history of medical problems besides slight adult onset asthma (which hasn t bothered me for some time) and vocal chord disfunction (for which I have found no effective treatment). I take no medications. Thank you
