What Causes Pain In Ear After Swimming?

my ear left ear hurts the pain is covering the left side of my head going down the neck i have taken ear drops and Tylenol but the pain comes back seconds later i went swimming possibly the cause the pain started the night after swimming though it hurts to touch my ear or around my ear please give me some advice
