What Causes Pain In Ear Along With Headache?

When I was cleaning my ear out with a q tip i hit my arm against the wall which inturn jabbed the q tip into my ear. Major pain for a few minutes. Now 7 hours later my ear still hurts and I have a headache on that side of my face. Should I see a doctor or just ride the pain out.
