What Causes Pain In Ear When I Press The Area Of Ear Entrance?

I have pain in ear when I press on outside of entrance to ear. I also feel a bump/lump on my temple-left side. I had to have something removed years ago, but when I went back to same Ear, Nose, Throat office (different doctor) Dr. said it wasn t the same thing. It sure seems like it. I have forgotten what it is called.
