What Causes Pain In Foot After Getting A Tattoo Done?

Hi, I got a tattoo on my foot nearly a year ago now but I keep getting pains when it is being pressed on or when I stretch my foot. I was wondering if it was possible that I got nerve damage during the procedure of the tattoo or from the infection that got into it from the tattoist leaving large deep open wounds from the procedure. Thank you
