What Causes Pain In Foot?

My foot started hurting 2 days ago for no reason. Didn t do anything except drop a wooden hanger on it. Did hurt real bad, and then 4 hours later bang, it just started hurting to where I am limping badly. Not sure if it was the hanger or just a weird thing that suddenly happened
