What Causes Pain In Groin While Lifting Or Moving Leg?

I have a pain in my groin when I lift my right leg (with a bent knee). The groin pain is worse i try to move my leg to right. I m worried I may have arthritis and hoping this might be muscular. I used to be quite active but over the past year really haven t been. I ve recently tried to start exercising.....but I had the pain before restarting exercise
