What Causes Pain In Incision Site After A Umbilical Microscopio Surgery?

This morning at 8:00am I had umbilical microscopio surgery. They pierced my stomach in 11 places to fasten the micro mesh. As long as I sit or stand I have very little discomfort. I was walking fairly comfortable within a few hours of the surgery. The problem I now have is its midnight and I cannot lay down to sleep. when I try to lay sideways I get burning pain at the incision areas. as soon as I return to a strait up position the pain stops. I may be able to get through the pain to lay down but I am concerned that I may be doing damage to the areas where the mesh if attached.
