What Causes Pain In Kidney Area Along With Blood In Urine?

Earlier in the week while sitting in my lounge chair one evening, I felt a warm feeling in my right side at the kidney, then pain and a feeling as if I had been hit. After awhile the pain subsided and I felt much better. About 30 minutes later I had blood in my urine. By morning there was only a slight discoloration, but it seemed to go under the water and run in a stream to the bottom of the toilet. This has been off and on from slightly yellow to dark tea color. More normal color than not. But still runs in a stream under the water. I have not had anymore pain, fever and I feel and sleep good.
