What Causes Pain In Lower Side Radiating Towards Pelvic Bone?

I have pain in my lower right side. It hurts most when I get up from a sitting position. It is tender to the touch on the top of my pelvic bone. But the pain seems to radiate to the right and to the outside above the thigh. Pulled muscle? hernia? appendicitis?
