What Causes Pain In Mid Back Area While Coughing Or Sneezing?

When I sneeze I have excruciating pain in my mid back, left side. Same thing when I cough. I m getting over a chest cold. There s no pain otherwise. Just one small spot. If it was a muscle, it seems I d be able to fund the spot with pressure touching. Any thoughts?
