What Causes Pain In My Ear, Muscle And Joints?

Hi, ive had the 'flu' since monday, started with a cough and runny nose, i wake up every 3 hours at night whether my nose is blocked of not, ive been bringing up alot of mucus with bloody streaks in it, at one point it happened everytime i coughed for about an hour. Just yestarday i had painful thumping in my ears, then after i had pain on the right and left side of my skull, like, just behinde and above my ears, i just had a random nose bleed out of 1 nostril although i did not blow my nose a single time today and im getting random muscle pains and joint pains. I have NEVER suffered from such a 'flu' and have always recovered from colds and flu's quick, im not one to get ill. Ive had this a week now and... am starting to think its not a flu. Help please.
