What Causes Pain In Neck Along With Dizzy Spells Post Spinal Surgery?

I had a multi level anterior discectomy and fusion 10 months ago. I have been in constant pain ever since and now old symptoms are happening that I had pre-op - numbness tingling dizzy spells etc. After my operation I had an xray and it was noted that I had a vertebra inbetween the 2 levels opped on that was hanging but was not a probem and showed no unusual movement. Now I can feel that sticking out in my neck - am scared to death and afraid that I am back at square one and facing paralysis again - why am I still in so much pain? Am on 100mg of morphine and 1200mg gabapentin daily - am at my wits end.
