What Causes Pain In Outer Thigh And Groin Area?

2 things that may be related...dull pain on outer thigh when bearing weight during stain climbing (one leg only), and sharper pain in groin area as if my panties are too tight after sitting an hour or more, and very tender to touch one spot only,same leg.
I am 59 yr female, 180 lbs, 5'41/2", history of spondyiolisthesis, type 2 diabetes, controlled high blood pressure
