What Causes Pain In Ribs While Taking Echo Test?

Hi, i have to have regular echo's and find that the probe really hurts my ribs, they are always a little tender anyway.I know that they sometimes have to press quite hard but nobody else seems to have mentioned pain during the scan.Could there be something wrong with my ribs?
