What Causes Pain In Tail Bone Radiating To The Hip?

I have pain in my tail bone radiating to my right hip. It seems to go right around my joints where my leg joins my hip. I did injure it several years ago fishing and went about three feet in the air and landed on my tail bone. I was unable to get up for about 20 minutes but x rays showed nothing was broken. It seems that the pain is worse on cold winter days. I do run, walk, strength train, nothing seems to make it better.
