What Causes Pain In The Breast And The Arm?

I have severe pain in my left breast near the nipple, left shoulder and down my arm. This started 3 days ago. I'm planning to make a dr.appointment next week, but would like your opinion as I am an alarmist when it comes to my health. I am 66 yrs old.
