What Causes Pain In The Heel Of Foot?

Having pain just in the heel (ball) of my foot. Nothing happened. More I m on it, worse it gets. Tonight I moved my foot a certain way and sharp tingling pain went down to my toes. That is new. I ve been on my feet ironing husbands clothes and not sure if that was a contributing factor. But I have noticed each day the pain does get worse and it doesn t matter what kind of shoes I wear.
