What Causes Pain In The Knee Post Knee Surgery?

I have had two scopes done for torn meniscus on same knee. my recent surgery was in October and I have recently started to cycle again. I feel the pain all over again - meniscus hurts/top of knee hurts/ and numbness and tingling thru foot. this is how I felt before and the dr never knew why the numbness but said needed scope. why didn t surgery help?
