What Causes Pain In The Waist And The Pelvic Area?

hi, i'm lifting and working out a lot more again and i'm not sure the pain is connected to these two hobbies, but my right side above my belt is sore and my left side below my waist, near groin is sore - but it's not a normal pain, it's pretty consistent and constant, what does it sound like?
