What Causes Pain In Upper Abdomen During Pregnancy?

Am seven month pregnant i have a severe pain in upper abdominal area i consulted a doctor she give me and injection of Nexpro iv 40,Branula iv and paracetamol..and after 2hrs the pain persist, my question is, Is it harmful to me and my pregnant. please advice.
