What Causes Pain In Upper Chest Area Radiating To Back?

I have been having pains in my upper chest area that travel to my back or ribs when i breath in at night before bed and in the mornings when i wake up and then it seems like i can feel the air traveling around its really strange and very painful. doesnt last more than a few minutes.
