What Causes Pain In Upper Left Thigh Along With Itching?

I have a pain in my upper left thigh for three days it started with itching and now it just plain hurts its worse if I sit but if I stay on my feet and move around there is less pain but it does not leave me. I am on an antibiotic for urinary track infection and a mild pain med. but the pain med does not work and I take tylnol but that does not help. I am 66 years old and in relitvely good health and I work 5 days a week. I did not go to the Dr. for a urinary track infection I went because my left kidney was hurting. I am waiting to hear back from the Dr. in a few more days but that is not bothering me as much as my thigh.
