What Causes Pain Inside Ear After A Checkup In Ear?

i went to a dr a few days ago and while the dr was checking my ear with the tool used to look inside ear it hurt! and ever since i have had my ear popped and cant seem to get it unpopped. ive tried yawning, pinching my nose and taking a deep breath and holding it in. so im wondering could the dr possibly have ruptured my ear drum.
