What Causes Pain On Left Side Of Back Radiating To Abdomen?

Yes, my mother is having pain on her left back, side area that is radiating around to her abdomen. Went to ER, Ctscan was inconcusive, but they did find Kidney stone on right and cyst on left kidney. Could the pain be coming from cyst on the same side as her pain?
