What Causes Pain On Right Side Of Adam S Apple Along With Difficulty While Swallowing?

Hi. I m having pain for over a week to the right of my Adams apple. It started lower than the Adams apple and rose higher over the past week and a half. It hurts a lot to swallow but originally the pain was only external, not in the inside throat. What is this.
