What Causes Pain On Top Of Foot Along With A Lump Formation?

Over the last two days I have been getting Pain on the top of my left foot. It feels really bad. it is now has a red patch on top of my foot and a lump on top my foot not near the red patch. All I have done was soak my feet in warm water two days ago.
