What Causes Painful And Swollen Lump On Labia?

I have a lump on my left labia that is purple and hurts to touch. I was told it s a broken blood vessel and to be careful with it and shaving. It s swollen today and hurts. What could it be or wrong?! How can I get it to go away. It s not appealing to look at and bothers me...
