What Causes Painful Bicep And Forearm?

I am a 60 year old woman and have vice like pain on my left arm.It is in the bicep as well as the forearm and is constant with more severe pain at times.Has been bothering me for a few months but I thought it would go away.It has become worse in the last few days.
