What Causes Painful Bump On Chest?

Hi, I have a bump in my chest. Been there for a year now. It hurts when touched. The area around is inflamed. Went to the doctor. He tried inserting a syringe inside. But no puss or nothing came out. Its a bit hard. What is it. What will be the remedy.
