What Causes Painful Bump On Head?

i have a small bump not from any incident, on my head that is extremely painful, somewhat warm t the touch around the site and radiating intense pain; feels literally like a knife is in my head. slightly red at the site, swelling down toward the temple area. again, a lot of pain from the site with more pain radiating around the area
